I want this watch very much. This cute little shop (that was already closed) had these amazing antique watches – I will buy one.

Man & Sheep

This guy was happily playing this while walking down the street. It didn’t appear that he was playing as a performance, but rather, the same way a crazy man would talk to himself.

Soooooo nice!

Every colour imaginable, each of them available to the artisan that would command the colours to form wonderous weaves.

I just wanted to jump in a taste all that was in there. Such lovely colours that you could almost taste with your eyes.

With little sense of _community_, most apartements are littered with satelite dishes, since every family has to get their own. It makes for interesting vistas, though I can’t believe that it’s very practical.

We experienced the Eid al-Adha ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_al-Adha) here in Tangier. It is a sacrifice to god, and one of the two most important festivals here. Every family (that can afford it) buys a sheep, and on this day, after the morning prayer, they sacrifice it, clean it, and eat it (they take a few days to eat it). Every family is very proud of their sheep, and the bigger it is, the better.

The incredibly deep blue in Asilah are so pure that they cannot be captured, you have to see it yourself.

Which should be called sugar with a little bit of mint and tea, really…

Holding on

She must have been thinking that we may be giving her food. Here the dogs sleep all day – I saw a dog sleeping in the park, and 5 hours later when I walked past she was still there, sleeping peacefully, breathing softly.

We were trying to find a vantage point to see the sunset over the medina, but we got this instead.

This is the medium one in Fez. It was just past the Eid al-Adha, so the tanneries weren’t in full swing yet, only a few people working, but most pits were full of skins.

This guys looked really happy for some reason. Good for him!!

I love the fact that she couldn’t really see because of her beannie!

Well, more bones than meat really.

Or spearmint. At every corner, in every cup of tea.

This is the big tannery of Fez – lime on one side, colour on the other. Last week, they were doing yellows, this week, browns. Hundreds of skins in each hole, soaking up pigments and colours and fats.
